Missionary, Thomas Baker, was eaten by Fijians more than 100 years ago. Today, all that remains of him is displayed in Fiji Museum – a single shoe.
Outreach
Bula! Fiji is a popular holiday destination but is also ideal country for a mission trip. It is made up of a mix of Indian and Native Fijians, and your team will have the opportunity to minister to both of these ethnic groups in practical and evangelistic ways. You don’t have to travel all the way to India to have a significant impact on Hindu and Muslim people – Fiji holds this opportunity.
Your outreach activities may include assisting with medical clinics by praying for the sick, providing practical help, and talking with patients while they wait. In addition, you will experience both the Fijian and Indian culture by spending time in villages, getting to know the truly welcoming people of this beautiful country. Practical work will also form a part of your outreach, with current building projects set up that will serve the ongoing work of missionaries in Fiji, as well as the local people. This will be an eye-opening experience, as you get the chance to change lives for the better.
