Bali

Interesting fact #30: In some areas of Bali, the local people put on bull-racing shows to please the god of the harvest.

Outreach
Bali is one of the beautiful islands of Indonesia, a country made up of 17,508 different islands. 93% of Balinese practice Balinese Hinduism, whilst the majority of the rest are Muslims. Many Indonesians migrate from other islands to Bali in hope of good jobs due to the growing tourism industry. Sadly however, the harsh reality is that many of these families end up living in slums and working long hard hours simply to survive.

Outreach opportunities in Bali include working in after-school care programmes with children, teaching English to street kids, sharing Jesus with salespeople who wander up and down the beaches, building and work projects, visiting villages in rural Bali, visiting the sick in hospitals and much more. Bali is an incredible place to go on outreach and any team will come back challenged and changed.
